Publicado: April 2026

When thinking about visiting Tarragona, it is common to focus on its Roman heritage, its beaches, or its old town. However, there is another way to discover the city that often goes more unnoticed: through its fairs and celebrations.

Throughout the year, Tarragona hosts different events that transform its streets and squares, bringing visitors closer to its culture, gastronomy, and everyday life.

From Hotel Canada by Dynamic Hotels, where many travelers stay each year before heading into Tarragona, we see that the experience is usually more complete when the visit is combined with one of these fairs.

Discovering Tarragona through its events allows you to experience the city in a closer way, understanding its local atmosphere and enjoying moments that go beyond the essential tourist sights.

Every year in October, the area around the cathedral is transformed by the Medieval Market.

The streets of the Part Alta fill with craft stalls, performances, and a setting inspired by the Middle Ages. The route invites visitors to stroll at a relaxed pace, discover small details, and enjoy the city’s historic surroundings.
